In looks only May 29, 2009 I was replacing a combination alarm clock-phone that had broken, so I looked around a lot to get one that would do exactly what I wanted. The specifications looked good: 2 alarms, crescendo, cordless phone, caller ID. Here are the problems: The date/time that is supposed to be read a night cannot - I think the "mirror" (which really isn't) distorts it to a frustrating blur at any angle. The alarms can only be set to "cute" electronic tones and not ones that will really wake you up. And there is no loudness setting so, even though I set both, I slept through both twice this week. And if you do hear them, the snooze is impossible to work. A light tap of a button you have to pick up the whole unit to get to, may work, maybe not. But if you hold it a little too long, it will turn the alarm completely off. And you will not know this because there is no indicator. The phone works ok, but it is small and an awkward design. And when you have it off the cradle to use it, it flashes "no battery" instead of the date, time, and CID that you would prefer. You have to try to read them between flashes. I read the book many times and went on line trying to figure out how to stop the flash or turn up volumes. The only adjustment is on the phone to the phone ringer. This is a poor design that does not support its intended use. A throw away after only 2 weeks.
