I bought this tool for my husband for Fathers Day and he could not be more pleased. He has an older cordless screwdriver and he says this one is so much better and does so much more. He really likes it.

the makita impact driver replaced an older cordless screwdriver... should have done that a long time ago... more power, less fatigue and ergonomic as well... the led work light is a bonus... my kit came with 2 lithium batteries & charger so i am never left "high & dry"... unlike "traditional motor driven" units, the impact driver has no variable speed control(is that even possible with an impact???)... it does take some getting used to, but all in all, it's of minor concern... have found no task yet that the makita couldn't handle... more than pleased with it...

Very light weight and well made. The bits are easy and quick to change out. Plenty of power and batteries seem to last a long time. It comes with two batteries and a fast battery charger so you shouldn't run out of power. Also comes with a nice soft sided case. The only thing I didn't care for was the holster. It seemed a little cheap, but I probably wouldn't have worn it even if it was top quality so it's not an issue for me.

It is a really powerfull tool.
Like the way it works.
The only thing that is not so nice is the color, my tool is not white anymore.

For an open box item, I cannot tell the difference, actually, the controls feel stronger than the previous one I had, batteries also in perfect condition
